Ayurvedic Medicine is among the oldest schemes of healing and medical practice in the world and was formerly adopted by the Hindus of India. Although there are various patterns and strategies imposed in this alternative way of curing have been established, various methods and medical care were transferred through the word of mouth. Ayurvedic Medicine is embodied by its two primary manuscripts, the Charaka Samhita and the Sushruta Samhita. This two depict the branches that this alternative medicine revolves on like toxicology, ob- gynaecology and surgery among others.
The main aid and secret in Ayurvedic Medicine lies in herbs and interventions in treatment being practiced. Up to this moment, more than half of the Hindus in India practice this type of healing. Apart from promoting the wellness of physical healing, it also adopts the healing of mind and spirit. It further believes that physical impurities can be cured first when the mind and spirit are supplemented very well. “With a poor mind come a poor body,” is what this Ayurvedic Medicine particularly believes in.
