Drunken Noodles a Versatile Thai Dish Made with Noodles

This is a dish made by Chinese who have settled in Thailand and now it has become a popular Thai food. It is believed that the name of drunken noodles is being used for this dish as it is a good dish to take when you are drunk.
Though it is often made with noodles you have the option to make it without noodles also. In that case it is served with rice. It uses fresh pepper corns, a lot of chilies and holy basil. It is always stir fried. Normally soy sauce and oyster sauce are added after frying.
It is normal for this dish to be served with spaghetti but often it is served with rice also. When it is made in countries other than Thailand often the ingredients are substituted. In place of Thai chilies they use bell pepper. Also they don’t have fresh pepper corns as it is not easy to find them.
